DOA of 5% or less
When dead-on-arrival (DOA) loss for a shipment is 5% or less, Exotic Marine Transshippers does not take responsibility for that loss. Small percentages of DOA are treated as a normal part of live livestock shipping.
DOA & livestock loss
Live marine livestock and coral are packed to careful standards. Some transit loss can still occur. Please read these guidelines before you order.
Photos the day of arrival
To report livestock loss, you must send clear photos the same day the shipment arrives. Claims or questions without same-day arrival photos cannot be reviewed.
On arrival
- Open boxes promptly and inspect livestock carefully.
- Photograph any DOA or damage the same day — before discarding packing materials when possible.
- Email us with the origin, order details, and same-day photos attached.
Orders & lists
Orders are accepted by email with a completed spreadsheet and payment only — there is no online checkout. Livestock lists update weekly. Several origins have only about one to two days to order; check each card’s Order by date and order quickly when the window is short.
